WHY BANANAS IN SPACE AND BLACK HOLES MAKE SO MUCH SENSE TO ME

All works of my “I AM DEATH”-series originate in the ideas of death as transcendence into the origins of life – the cosmos as both, the cradle and the ultimate coffin of time and existence. Every work comes from my writing that reflects my interest in – what I like to call – science and anthropological theory. I create symbolic metaphors of scientific, cultural and intellectual “achievements” as a way of audio-visual understanding. Unsettling soundscapes and the transformation from one thing, from one context into another is what my poetic texts and surreal scenes refer to: understanding multi intentionally and as inclusive as I get – with my state of understanding I evolve and so does my work and hopefully the viewers of the works. – jk! Or am I?
Some of my surreal images bluntly refer to very real things: Donuts in space (you should think of black holes now – if not, I guess you missed the reveal of the first images of the super massive black hole in the center of our galaxy).
Others might not be as obvious and you might not fully get every bit within the first three seconds or years maybe – but hey, it took me years to make them, to learn to do everything, to “understand” and I still am in the middle of the process – blah, blah, right? So there is more on the way.
